Agreement
By downloading, installing, or using ShotFile you agree to these Terms of Service, the End User License Agreement, and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree do not download, install, or use the app or website. Continued use of ShotFile constitutes ongoing acceptance of these terms.
What ShotFile is
ShotFile is a macOS application that intercepts screenshots and lets you rename, tag, annotate, and file them. Your screenshots and clipboard history stay on your Mac. For network use (update checks and a one-time install ping), see the Privacy Policy.
What you can do
You may download and use ShotFile for personal and professional use on your own Mac. You may install it on Macs you own or control.
What you cannot do
You may not resell, redistribute, sublicense, or charge others for access to ShotFile. You may not reverse engineer, decompile, or modify the app. You may not use ShotFile for any unlawful purpose.
Pricing, payments and refunds
ShotFile is offered with a 14-day free trial that requires no account and no payment details. After the trial, continued use requires a subscription: €4.00 per month, billed monthly, or €19.00 per year, billed annually. You can purchase a license from inside the app and enter your license key to unlock it instantly from Settings.
Payments are processed by Lemon Squeezy, our payment processor and merchant of record, who handle billing, receipts, applicable taxes, and renewals. Your payment details never touch ShotFile’s own servers, and your billing statement will show “Lemon Squeezy”.
Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless cancelled. You can cancel at any time to stop future renewals.
Because every user receives a full 14-day trial of the complete app before any payment is taken, there are generally no refunds once a subscription is purchased. If something is broken on our end, or you believe you were charged in error, email info@shotfile.app and we will work to make it right. Nothing in this section limits any statutory rights you may have under applicable consumer-protection law.
No warranty
ShotFile is provided as-is without warranty of any kind. We do not guarantee the app will be error-free, uninterrupted, or suitable for any particular purpose. Use it at your own risk.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, ShotFile and its operator shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app or website. This includes but is not limited to data loss, loss of revenue, or loss of business.
Changes to the service
We may update, modify, or discontinue ShotFile at any time without notice. We may update these terms at any time. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
Disputes and use at your own risk
You use ShotFile and this website entirely at your own risk. By downloading, installing, or using ShotFile you agree not to bring any claim, action, or proceeding against the operator or the tool in any court or tribunal. Any such claim will not be entertained. If you do not accept this, do not use ShotFile.
